There have been some reports of gritting not being done where it should be. We have seen gritters and snow ploughs in operation, but our colleagues at Worcestershire County Council need to prioritise the use of what are limited resources. This meeting for our residents is from 10am to 1pm at the School House, Lickey Hills Country Park, Warren Lane on Saturday 9th October 2010.
As guests of the country park, we will be holding a meeting on the above theme to include reducing your carbon footprint.
There will be lots to listen to and talk about, school presentation, a local residents personal account of their wind turbine journey, refreshments, prizes, handouts and more.
Plus the Best Front Gardens (BFG) presentations with awards kindly sponsored by Nikki Gow of Fresh @ Burcot.
The Government in Westminster is busy preparing to bring us 'Big Society'. How do you see that working in Lickey and Blackwell. What do you think your Parish Council should be doing to support it?
Would you like to ask our new MP what he thinks it will mean in our community? If yes then come along to ask him at the Trinity Centre on Old Birmingham Road in Lickey on Saturday morning at 10am.
Lickey and Blackwell Parish Council is now in recess for the summer and our public meetings will re-commence on Monday 6th September at the Trinity Centre (Village Hall) in Lickey.
Our busy Councillors and Executive Officer will continue to work for the benefit of the community and be available, albeit with a more limited service, during this period.
Do watch out for some new developments and an exciting residents meeting with Bromsgrove's new Member of Parliament on 24th July in the mean time.
