Residents Meeting 10: Greening Our Parish

This meeting for our residents is from 10am to 1pm at the School House, Lickey Hills Country Park, Warren Lane on Saturday 9th October 2010.

As guests of the country park, we will be holding a meeting on the above theme to include reducing your carbon footprint.

There will be lots to listen to and talk about, school presentation, a local residents personal account of their wind turbine journey, refreshments, prizes, handouts and more.

Plus the Best Front Gardens (BFG) presentations with awards kindly sponsored by Nikki Gow of Fresh @ Burcot.

Reminder: Residents Meeting Saturday 31st January

The third of our popular residents meetings will be held this coming Saturday. The topic for this meeting is 'Transport and Housing' and is being held between 10am and 1pm on Saturday 31 January 2009 at the Blackwell Social Club.

If you are a resident of Lickey or Blackwell we warmly welcome your attendance and active participation.

Lickey & Blackwell Autumn Parish Walk

The Parish Council Footpath Warden, David Crockett, is to lead a Parish walk on Saturday 18^th October. Called “Autumn Gold” (where he assures us the sunshine has been booked for that day!), the walk will take in Lickey and Blackwell in its’ full Autumn glory.

The walk is expected to last between 3 and 4 hours, dependent on the speed of the group. The terrain to be covered will be a combination of road and tracks, some of which may be muddy and will include short hilly sections. Walkers are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the elements, and also ensure they bring their own refreshments.

All those interested are asked to meet David from 9.45am onwards on Saturday October 18^th at the junction of  Twatling Road and Plymouth Road, with a view to departing at 10am.
